The coronavirus crisis has reminded us how fragile the foundations of our coexistence are – how closely society, the environment and the economy are interwoven. For us at Vonovia, this means that we once again have important responsibilities: For the future of our coexistence, for social and ecological balance, for our country’s climate protection.
Now more than ever, we are determined to make our business model more sustainable.
However, we are still in the early stages of realizing our vision of climate-neutral living. This requires new, brave and most importantly partnership-based solutions. That’s why in November 2019, together with our partners the German Energy Agency (dena) and the Fraunhofer Society, we kicked off the idea of a Vonovia symposium entitled “Outlook for Climate-Neutral Living”, an open dialog with experts on politics, the economy and the environment.
To continue this exchange, our conference “Outlook for Climate-Neutral Living” will take place on October 1, 2020, at 4 p.m, digitally and at the EUREF campus in Berlin. You can attend virtually or in person (as long as all coronavirus-related requirements are observed).
We want to present new approaches and innovations for environmentally efficient building and refurbishing, as well as new business models for climate-friendly living. We want to discuss this climate journey with you. So much is clear: Tenants and their needs have to be at the center of any climate protection measures taken. Climate protection will only gain traction in the building sector if it is also widely accepted by society. For this reason, among others, we would be delighted to welcome you to our conference.
